Cabcharge Gift Card

These conditions apply to use of the Cabcharge Gift Card (gift card), issued by Cabcharge Australia Limited ABN 99 001 958 390. Purchasing or using the gift card means that you accept these conditions. If you let another person use your gift card, you must tell them that they will be bound by these conditions. NSW law applies to this agreement. By entering into this agreement you unconditionally submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of NSW.

How and where you can use the Gift Card

• 1. The gift card can be used to pay for services in taxis equipped with "Cabcharge payment" terminals in Australia, provided that the gift card has sufficient balance to cover the purchase.
• 2. Please note that some merchants may choose not to accept the gift card. Please see our website for a list of our accepted Merchants across Australia.
• 3. Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash, reloaded, or returned for a refund and are not legal tender, account cards, credit or debit cards or securities.
• 4. We do not offer change of mind refunds for gift cards and should you wish to be refunded, the service fee and GST is not refundable.

 

Fees and Charges of the Gift Card

• 5. Gift card attracts an 11% card purchase fee (10% plus GST) which covers processing, administrative and productive costs.

 

Validity and Expiry of the Gift Card

• 6. The gift card will expire 3 years after the date of issue. After the gift card has expired, it is no longer valid. All transactions will be declined.
• 7. Any balance that remains on the gift card will not be available for use after the card’s expiry date, nor can the expiry date be extended.

 

Errors and Complaints

• 8. If you have a query or complaint about the gift card, please raise it through any of our contact channels. You may call us on 1800 652 229 or contact us online at www.cabcharge.com.au/contact-us.
• 9. We are not liable for the availability, quality or fitness for purpose of any services purchased with the gift card. Any dispute about services purchased with the gift card must be resolved with the supplier or the supplier’s taxi network. Except for rights which cannot be excluded, any conditions or warranties implied or imposed by legislation or otherwise are excluded from these conditions of use. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to replacing faulty gift cards.

 

Cancellation

• 10. We may cancel any gift card, or the gift card scheme, for any reason at any time without notice. If so, we may either provide a refund or a replacement gift card of equivalent value unless we reasonably suspect fraud in relation to a gift card. The gift card remains our property.

 

Changes to Terms and Conditions

• 11. We can vary or replace these conditions from time to time (including to introduce new fees) by publishing a notice in a newspaper circulating throughout Australia at least 30 days before the change. The current version of these conditions is available through our contact channels.
